About Fraudex
A real-time IP intelligence API built to help businesses fight fraud, block VPNs, stop web scrapers, and ensure only genuine visitors reach their platform.
What is Fraudex?
Fraudex is a VPN detection API and IP intelligence service. When a visitor hits your platform, you send their IP
to Fraudex's /api/check endpoint — and within a millisecond you know whether they are connecting
from a commercial VPN, a datacenter proxy, a residential proxy network, a Tor exit node, or a known scraper ASN.
Every response also includes a two-letter ISO country code so you can enforce geo-restrictions alongside bot detection in a single round-trip. The entire detection engine runs in memory — there are no external database calls, no DNS lookups, and no third-party dependencies on the hot path.
Fraudex checks any IP address against a curated database of 741+ known bad ASNs — covering VPN providers, proxy networks, Tor exit nodes, datacenters, and scraping infrastructure.
Every response also includes the visitor's country code, so you can enforce geo-restrictions or block traffic from specific regions — all in a single API call.
Who should use Fraudex?
Block VPN and proxy users at checkout to prevent carding, stolen card abuse, and geo-fraud chargebacks.
Filter bot-generated clicks and VPN-masked impressions before they hit your billing — pay only for real human traffic.
Prevent trial abuse and region-bypass at signup and login by detecting masked IPs before account creation.
Enforce regional licensing and DRM restrictions by detecting users who tunnel through VPNs to bypass geo-blocks.
How Fraudex compares
Other IP intelligence services like IPQualityScore, ipdata, and MaxMind GeoIP2 offer broad data sets that include enrichment fields you may never need — and price accordingly. Fraudex is purpose-built for one job: tell you in under 1ms whether an IP is a VPN, proxy, or bot ASN — and return the country code while it's at it.
The result is a simpler API, a faster response, and pricing that starts free and scales to $150/month for unlimited usage — without per-field fees or opaque scoring systems. See full pricing →
